The index navigation drop down can be disabled by turning it off on the individual items inside of the release.
By default, a player's index drop displays at the top center of the release, as well as right and left arrows on either side of the navigation bar that allow for scrolling between player items.
When this the index navigation at the center is clicked, the items in the release display in a drop down menu.
Disabling Player Navigation
This navigation bar can be disabled so it won't show for individual items in the release.
This is turned off at the the Release level.
Navigate to the a player release, and click on to open its content pane.
Locate the item you wish to disable navigation for, and click the gear icon to open its settings pane.
Find and check the "Hide Navigation Bar" checkbox.
Make sure to click the Save button at the top right of the interface.
You can now see your changes by clicking the Preview button at the top right of the interface.
The navigation bar will no longer appear for that release item.
Note of caution: When the navigation bar is turned off on an item within a player release, there is no longer top-level navigation to the other items in the player.
For this reason, it's often best practice to turn it off only on items that already contain navigation to the other elements, such as Covers.
Otherwise, you may run into a situation where users experience a navigational dead-end, with no way to get to other material.
