Contributor bio images are now referenced from the Media Library, rather than uploaded via the contributor bio.
All previously-added contributor bio images have been migrated to the Media area of existing Platform accounts.
Adding an image to a new contributor bio
Adding a profile image to a new contributor bio will consist of two steps - uploading an image to the media library and creating a new contributor bio.
Uploading a profile image to the Media library
Fist upload the contributors image to the Media library.
From your Platform account, open the Media tab, and click the Add New Button.
From the pop-up, click the File Upload button.
Either drop the file onto the next pop up, or click to navigate to it on your file system.
If you chose to navigate to the file, locate it on your file system and click to add or open it.
The Platform will display the name and size of your file on a corresponding screen. If this looks correct, click the Start Upload button.
Once the file has successfully upload, you can click the View Imported Files button to navigate to your Media tab.
The file you just added will be at the top of the list of media items. Click the item number, image or filename to open and the file record.
You can add descriptions and other metadata information to the file, as you would any other media item.
Note: You can crop the various cutdown images from the Files tab, as the image can always be used anywhere in the platform. But the Contributor Bio image will always display in the aspect ratio of the original Master File (example highlighted in red below.)
Create a Contributor record
If you just getting started and have to add multiple contributors, the best place to do that is in the manage contributor section.
You access this by clicking on the hamburger dropdown on the top left of the Platform interface.
Click the Manage Contributors link that appears on the left navigation pane.
Click the New Contributor button at the upper right.
This will open a new contributor record.
Add bio information for the contributor in the text fields.
Scroll down to find the Choose Image button.
This will open a list of items in your media library to select.
Find the image you'd like to add and use the checkbox at the far left to select it.
Then use the Accept button at the top right to move to the next step.
The image record will display as referenced inside the contributor profile.
Scroll down and use the Add Social Link and Add Link buttons to add additional links, if appropriate.
When complete, scroll to the top and click the Save button at the top right of the interface
This will create a new contributor record that will appear in the list when you click the Manage Contributor link from the hamburger menu as outlined in the first steps above.
Adding detailed Profile content
You can add additional information to the contributor's record by opening it and clicking the Profile Content button.
When the Add Block button is clicked, a list of block types display, allowing you to add these to the profile.
After adding the desired blocks, click the Save button.

Previewing a Contributor bio
You can preview a Contributor's bio by opening it and clicking on the Preview tab.
This will display how the contributor will appear when included in a Contributor Title.
To see the Contributor's full record, click anywhere on the Contributor card.
This will open the full Contributor bio page.
You can use the X at the top right of the window to close this page.
Note: Contributors can be added to display together using Contributor Titles.

Adding Contributor to Title credits
Once a Contributor record as been created, you can add the add the contributor as a credit to a title.
To do so, navigate to the Titles tab in the platform.
From the General tab, scroll down to the Credits section.
Click the Select a Contributor dropdown to open the list of available contributors.
Select the contributor you'd like to add and make sure that the name as populated the drop down field.
Click the Add Credit Button and verify that the contributor has been added to the Title.
Type the role the contributor should be credit with for the title in the Role field beneath their name.
When you have added the appropriate credits, click the Save button at the top right of the interface
Notes: You can use the trash icon to delete the credit on from the title, but this won't delete the contributor record.
You can use the pencil icon to open and edit the contributor record in place.
You can use the reorder icon to adjust the order of the list if there are more than one contributor credited.
After any changes, remember to click the Save button at the upper right of the interface.
Additional workflow: You can also add a new contributor record via a Title
To add a contributor to a title in the platform, navigate your Titles tab.
Open the Title you'd like to add a contributor to and from the General tab, scroll down to the Credits field.
Use the Select a Contributor drop down and select New Contributor.
Notice that New Contributor has populated the field. Click the Add Credit Button.
This will open a new record that allows you to add contributor information and an image.
Fill out the relevant text fields and then click the Choose Image button.
This will open a list of items in your media library to select.
Find the image you'd like to add and use the checkbox at the far left to select it.
Then use the Accept button at the top right to move to the next step.
The selected image will appear as attached at the bottom of the contributor record. If it looks good, click the Save button at the top right of the interface.
If you need to make a change, you can use the trash can icon at the right off the image area to remove it and repeat the previous step.
After clicking the Save Changes button, the contributor record will appear as attached to the Title.
Use the Role field to add a description of the role the contributor played in the title and then click the Save button at the upper right to apply the change to the Title.
After clicking Save, you'll be navigated to the General tab of the Title.
You can verify the contributor has been added by again scrolling down to the Credits field and checking that it's attached.
If it all looks good, the contributor record has been added to the Platform and it's attached to the title.
You can click the Pencil icon to edit the Contributor further.
From here, the workflow is the same as outlined above.
Changing an existing contributor image
To change a contributor image, you'll simply replace the image itself in the Media library.
Please note: The process outlined below will change the image where ever it is being used.
If you want to only change the contributor bio, please follow the process of creating a new record as outline above.
Navigate to the Media area of your account and locate the image you'd like to change.
Click on the item ID, the image thumbnail or the name to open the record.
Click on the Files tab, which is where you'll modify the image.
Slide the Regenerate All Previews selector so that all preview images are swapped when you change the image.
Then click the Replace button.
Notice the Master File has been removed, and you can select a new one by clicking the Choose File button.
This will pop open a system dialogue box that allows you to select a new image. Select your new image and click to open or accept it.
The new file name will appear in the Master File area.
If this looks correct, click the Save button.
The new image should appear populating the Image Previews and Master File areas.
The new image will replace the old one in the contributor bio, as well as everywhere else the image is being used.
