What are the system requirements for MediaStorm online training?

MediaStorm online training is delivered as a progressive playback video and currently requires a Flash-enabled internet browser, and an active Internet connection. A broadband Internet connection is recommended.

Can I watch Online Training modules on my iPad/iPhone/Android/other mobile device?

MediaStorm's online training modules are currently only available on devices that support Flash. We will be launching an HTML5 version in the future.

I don't have an iPad. Can I download the MediaStorm Field Guide in another format for my desktop or smartphone?

To view iBooks purchases on a Mac you have to download the iBooks app from the App Store. Once downloaded, open the app and sign in with your Apple ID to access purchased titles, including the MediaStorm Field Guide. This only works for Mac computers running OS X Mavericks or later.

We are regularly researching other platforms to publish on and will keep our audience up to date when we have new formats available. To make sure you get the news when we release new educational tools, please sign up for our newsletter.

Why is access limited to one year?

We will be continually improving our online training. This includes adding content, and may also mean replacing content as technologies or best practices change.

How often will you be adding new content?

We will be adding new content as it is produced. As of now, there is no set timetable.

What if I purchased a bundle and then decided that I want a subscription?

We do offer the ability to purchase individual bundles, but those purchases don't apply to the subscription fee. We don't have an upgrade path.

We encourage everyone to watch all of the modules. This provides an overview of the entire process of multimedia reporting and production, and the best learning experience. The subscription option is the best and most cost effective way to do this.

What is your refund policy?

All online training is non-refundable.

Will my subscription be automatically renewed?

Your subscription will be automatically renewed only if you opted-in to automatic renewal. You may review and change your account information here

How do I cancel my subscription?

You may cancel your subscription at any time by emailing info@mediastorm.com. Please note that all online training is non-refundable.

Other viewing problems?

If you are logged in and still having trouble viewing content, try to clear your browser's cache and then restart your browser. If you are still having trouble viewing content, please email us at support@mediastorm.zendesk.com. Be sure to include a description of your problem and any error messages you are receiving, and place "CANNOT ACCESS TRAINING" in the subject line of your email. 

Can I download the modules?

No, MediaStorm's online training is only available as progressive playback video and requires an active Internet connection. 

How many times can I view a module?

You may view any module as many times as you like for as long as your access/subscription is up-to-date. 

Can I share my login and/or show these videos publicly?

Your account is for personal use only. If you share your account login with others MediaStorm has the right to cancel your account.

What are my payment options?

I would like to purchase an online training product in bulk for my university or business. Do you offer multi-user pricing?

We offer multi-user pricing to meet the needs of schools, corporations, associations and other institutions. Please complete the multi-user pricing form to request pricing for your organization. If you'd like to purchase the MediaStorm Field Guide in bulk, please use iTunes VPP for Education program. A bulk discount is not available for the MediaStorm Field Guide as Apple does not allow publishers to offer bulk educational discounts through the iBookstore.

I'm a student at an accredited university, but my school isn't currently part of the MediaStorm Online training Educational Program. Can I still get a student discount on your training?

We currently only provide educational accounts through educators or administrators. If you are interested in having a student discount on our training, please contact your professor or program head and talk to them about getting the program for your school.
